This body shaming problem is for everyone i guess, not for people with sma only. But anyway I wanted to ask as a girl struggling with that feeling time to time
Hello love! When I was younger I struggled a lot with self image issues. I used to even hate to see myself in the mirror. But in high school I found fashion and my style and my confidence and the way I viewed myself really changed! I say start with picking a great outfit! Something you would never wear but love and then wear it even if you’re going nowhere. Sometimes confidence can be built by taking back some autonomy by picking the clothes you really want to wear!
That's a great question, @A mySMAteam Member Thanks for bringing up this topic. I know a lot of people experience this, me included. I make it a point to remember people's names and look them in the eye. I also have a saying in my head when I don't feel my best, “People are interested in me for who I am.”
